A: This is A32563. We hear you loud and clear.
K: Sir, over the last 100 years the planet has considerably increased the pollution levels. 9 out of 10 humans breathe contaminated air. In certain areas it is not possible to live, yet they are infested by humans.
A: What about natural resources?
K: Many areas have been deforested, seas and rivers are also highly contaminated. Glaciers are melting; it is hard to determine for how long the planet will have consumable water.
A: What is the cause of such deterioration?
K: The human race, Sir.
A: Population in relation with the last report?
K: In 100 years population increased from 1.86 to 7.50 thousand of millions, Sir.
A: Is there enough space and resources for us?
K: The planet still has resources, but not for long. Humans are ending them all.
A: How long does the planet have?
K: I estimate that by my next transmission there will be nothing left.
A: Then we must get there as soon as possible. Establish contact with the leaders of the Earth. Our first ships will arrive with barely 100 million habitants. We will begin the moving slowly.
K: Sir, there is no small group of leaders here, there are too many, divided by countries… and right now they are not in good terms.
A: Then establish contact with one leader that might let us land in his territory and live there.
K: Sir, that could start a world war. No country will accept that one Government has allies from another planet. Chaos will spread, and we will be in the middle of it. What is worse: the war will destroy the few natural resources the planet has left, and the journey will be for nothing.
A: What you describe is hard to believe.
K: Sir, what you saw when you arrived here on the Maya era no longer exists, only ruins. The contact you established with its habitants was an event that will never happen again. What you wrote in your chronicles does not look like anything I am experiencing in this era.
A: But back then, the leaders invited us to cohabitate and share their resources with us. We need that now, more than ever. Our planet is getting closer to the black hole.
K: Sir, there is nothing left from that era. Human behavior is irrational. We can’t dialog with them without causing a war.
A: We need their resources, that is a fact. We cannot wait any longer. Our plan has always been cohabitation, but I can see it is impossible.
K: Waiting for your instructions, Sir.
A: The only way to keep the planet alive, is ending the plague that is destroying it. You have 20 Gregorian years to fulfill the mission -quietly and without compromising the planet- and 10 years to clean any residue of contamination. We will arrive on 06.18.2050 – Maya calendar date 13.1.18.0.13.
